[...] You should have nailed this by now. Most people on Twitter identify you as your little icon instead of your name. Your image needs to stand out from the rest so that people make no mistake if they have talked to you before. I purposely made my Twitter icon more “digitalized” with the white background so it’s easily recognizable when people see it. If you haven’t even nailed down this part, you should check out one of my most popular posts: How to Start, Settle, and Fall in Love with Twitter. [...]

This is the best damn article or how-to-guide on twitter that I've read-the only one that I've read lol!

It's definitely going to help me once I get off work. Someone told me to get on twitter and leverage it, but I didn't know what the hell he meant. This helped a whole lot. I'm going to retweet this even though it's an old article.

So how did you find out how to use twitter? Or were you just already accustomed to how it worked?

Haha, this is too spammy for me. Plus, if you want people to click on the link, you should probably describe something appealing about that site. Just saying it's thetwittersecret is pretty worthless :P

Excellent post! It definitely helped me to make sense with twitter. As I start to understand personal branding, blogging and such, I see how it can all come together to help me make progress in my career. I realized that of course if I don't have a purpose for something, like networking than of course it will seem useless and I won't see the value in it, but from a networking perspective it makes perfect sense.

You've answered and explained so well the usefulness of twittering. For people like me who simply don't get Twitter, Plurk and other sites alike this was definitely worth reading. Thanks

I will give it a second try. : )

Yes, that's exactly what a new twitter user would feel.
I found it useful in some ways and it also make friends just like blogging does.

Haha, thanks for the comment :) Tweetscoop is pretty cool, but eventually could get you to think "ok...so what if I missed this" hahaha.

The birds are scary? I thought they're super cool! But the female bird seems to share your experience. That's why she fled :)

Hey, good tips. I definitely love tweetscoop (people buzz about the most random things - esp interesting when there's no big event going on) and tweetdeck.

By the way, the birds in the video are kind of scary.
