Requirements for Level 1
- Find a product or experience you are interested in. Could be your own company’s product.
- Describe what the product or experience intends to do and what are the Desired Actions.
- Run Octalysis through it and analyze why it is engaging through the 8 Core Drives.
- Utilize the Octalysis Tool to create the graphs (or use your own methods)
- Talk about how the product/experience can increase engagement through the 8 Core Drives. What’s missing? And what can be added?
- Scroll to bottom for instructions on how to submit.
Yes! Got mine! Thank you, Yu-Kai for the nice and interesting feedback!
Only 2 left!
Go, go, go! 😀
Very very close indeed 🙂
It’s not easy!
Shivcharan Thanks Shivcharan and hope we can work together as well with others to advance to level 2 by sharing & spreading our beliefs in the Octalysis Framework towards a gamified future ahead!
Congrats Ryan!
Guys lets all work together to spread the word and influence at least 11 more people to be certified so that we can all work together and advance to Level 2 on wards.
Will be committing 2 people (Who needs to really be a fanatic of the framework just like us) by end of January 2015 to get this certification. Hopefully we reach 30 by end of January 2015 and start working on advancement by February 2015!
Those who are interested just comment GAME!

Woot! Finally got mine 😀
12 more for level 2.
finneycanhelp congratulation finney…!
avafif finneycanhelp Thanks! I appreciate that!
finneycanhelp wow mike. congratulation! you are awesome pal. hope i can get this one too someday:)
Average Joey, if you ever get on LinkedIn, look me up!
How do we want these to appear in LinkedIn et. al?
Title: “Octalysis Certificate in Gamification” (to explain via title), “Octalysis Certificate Level 1”, or other?
achintngm 19 now! 😉
Fun!
7 more added.. another 20 needed…
JorisBeerda Check your inbox! Lol
JorisBeerda all the best..!
FrederikAggeRonex achintngm Yu-kai Chou lolzz….
I am waiting for it 😉
achintngm Yu-kai Chou
Yu-kai Chou achintngm seems Uk ppl have an affinity to d word “average”..
#daverage .. P
achintngm Haha, won’t be publishing reject rates, but it has become slightly slower (with better submissions) so I think it’s because they heard how hard it is now so don’t want to submit unless it’s really really good.
But we might have 2-3 more certificates given out soon!
achintngm Average Joey is a UK person’s “Game ID” ;-P
Yu-kai Chou I am still interested in knowing the rejection percentage.. for L-1 🙂
Yu-kai Chou
achintngm Haha, be patient. Only been a few months. This is a game that will last a while. If everyone gets all certificates within 6 months, then it’s a big design fail no ;-P
Actually, as much as I can tell, there will only be a handful of people that can ever get four. And I’m not even sure someone can get 5 or not….
“Average Joey” is this a person name or just a nick game.. Fb search turned nothing meaningful.
ohh.. god.. still three…at this rate.. forget the level 3..; even for level 2, I would be too old :'(
” thirty Level 1 Octalysis Certificates given out, I’ll start to make available the Level 2 Octalysis Certificate”
Would be interesting if you can share, some data. Like how many submissions received till date, how many evaluated, given we can see here.
Rough figures will also do.
3 more… and Level 2.. then…!
achintngm Corrected 😉
Yahoo.. level unlocked… 🙂 🙂 Elated…
A small correction needed in surname.. “Achint Nigam”
congratulations to the achievers..!
